Exceptional Childcare Team
Our childcare team have been chosen for their love of children and enthusiasm for their jobs. We are a highly qualified, friendly, approachable and trustworthy team.
Our children are supervised by a carefully selected, dedicated and talented team of qualified childcare professionals who are vetted thoroughly; they all hold valid "live" Enhanced DBS Checks, valid Paediatric First Aid, Safeguarding and Food Hygiene Certificates; and who we actively encourage and develop through on-going training and updates.
I have an Honours degree in education and have worked in early years for over 25 years. During this time I have been an Ofsted Inspector and Team Manager, Local Authority Lead Advisor for Early Years and have held operations and director level positions with a number of nursery companies and chains. I also have my own successful early years consultancy. In my spare time I enjoy following Liverpool FC, Formula 1 and cooking.
Although my background isn’t in early years, I have always worked in the education, health and care sectors. I am currently working as a Social Prescriber from the London Borough of Havering. I am extremely organised and I also hope that this will permeate through the processes we instigate at the nursery.
I have over 10 years’ experience in early years and I’ve worked with all ages from babies through to pre-schoolers. I have experience working with children who have Special Educational Needs, both medical and educational. I am always keen to learn more and be the best person I can be. I love to watch the children in my care grow and develop. In my spare time I love to bake and I’m very fond of giraffes! Also, I have a Level 3 BTEC National Diploma in Children’s Care, Learning and Development, a Level 2 Working with Children 0-5 with Special Needs and Level 3 Award in Speech and Language Support for Under 5s.
I have several years’ experience in child care and have a Level 3 qualification. Family plays a large part in my life as I have four children and a grandson. I believe that learning through play helps children grow, develop and form friendships. When I am not working, I enjoy family time, walks with my dogs and craft making activities which I hope to adapt to help our children explore.
Room Leader Little Acorns
I have 5 years’ experience in early years and have worked with all ages from 3 months to 5 years. I aspire to become the best I can be and watching children learn and develop helps inspire me to do this. In my spare time I enjoy spending time with family and friends. My favourite animals are dolphins and I enjoy watching films, particularly anything made by Disney.
Nursery Practitioner Little Acorns
I am hoping and willing to bring new ideas and a fresh outlook to Mighty Oaks. I have completed my Level 3 childcare qualification and am currently studying at the University of Winchester. I believe children learn through play, experiencing the world and learning to respect the environment and those around them, having opportunities and to problem solve. I am a fun-loving family girl who enjoys nothing more than going out and about in whatever the weather; you’re most likely to find me in the forest, down on the beach or watching some well-loved Disney classics.
Apprentice Nursery Practitioner
I am currently working towards earning my Level 2 qualification in Childcare. During my time here at Mighty Oaks, I am keen to gain more experience and knowledge of early years and am sure that I will continue to learn something new every day. In my free time, I enjoy keeping fit by going to the gym, finding new places to walk with my dogs, Nelly and Coco, and paddle boarding at the beach.
Nursery Housekeeper & Bank Practitioner
I have been a part of the MODN family for a few years now, not only as a colleague but as a parent too. I am a kind, caring individual and very happy to be part of the team. In my spare time I thoroughly enjoy doing crafts and spending quality time with my family, making special memories.
