Early Education Funding
Early Education Funding is provided by the government to ensure that all children in the two years prior to school can access good quality early years education.
Children can receive 15 - 30 hours per week of government funded childcare for up to 51 weeks of the year. We offer stretched (51 weeks) and non-stretched (38 weeks) funding for children entitled to government funding. Our term times are defined by BCP Council and payment are made directly to the Nursery.
Please go to www.bournemouth.gov.uk/childreneducation/childcare/paying-for-childcare/paying-for-childcare.aspx to find out when your child will be eligible for funding.
Your 30 hours can be used either during term times (38 weeks a year) or be "stretched" over 51 weeks. However, if stretched, your entitlement reduces to 22 hours per week.
Our Early Education Funded Sessions
Additional hours and services taken on top of funded allowances will be charged as per the sessions fees listed above.
We apply a charge for additional services of £1.18 per hour, that includes snacks, Lightbulb Classes etc for each government funded hour a child attends. These charges will be invoiced in advance on the 15th of each month.
We have allocated fifteen "completely free" sessions between 3.00pm - 6.00pm term-time only. These spaces are allocated on a first-come, first-serve basis.
Our Light Bulb classes are run by Dave Sawyer, a parent of two incredible kids, both of whom have succeeded on the back of confidence.
The classes are designed to develop fine and gross motor skills through a large number of fun, exciting drills broken down into 7 Levels (150 drills) and the aim is for all children to start their first day at school with confidence not to mention being able to enjoy playtime, PE and school sports.
Don’t underestimate how much confidence plays a role in life. And certainly don’t underestimate how proud you and they will feel at sports day or ultimately if your child represents their school.
This new exciting fun method of training will help switch on your child’s motor skills early which will enhance their coordination so they are ready to progress in all areas when they start school.
